H.Top Molinos Park - A Review

On June 14th 2018 we enjoyed our third stay in four years at Molinos Park. We absolutely love the hotel as it is such good value for money so I wanted to share it with everyone.

The location.

Image may contain: ocean, sky, outdoor, nature and waterThe hotel is located in Cap Salou which is in Costa Dorada, Spain. It is a small town next to Salou which is a larger more popular town for tourism. The nearest airport is Reus and it is approximately a 20 minutes transfer. The hotel is located on a slight hill and is an eight-minute walk from the beach.

The room.

The view from the balcony depends on which room you are staying in. On the balcony, there are two chairs and a rail where you can hang your wet towels and swimwear. The rooms are air-conditioned and the curtains are lined to block out the sun. There is a cleaning service who come in every morning to tidy the room, make the beds and change the towels.

The food.

Every time we have stayed we have been all-inclusive, but I do believe that other options are available. The food has always been good value but on our most recent stay in June 2018, the food was amazing. So much choice and very tasty, I don't think that I have ever eaten so much on holiday before!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all buffets so you can help yourself to whatever you like. Breakfast contains bread, meats, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, cakes, biscuits, croissants and hot food such as eggs, bacon and sausages. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and fruit juice machines are also available at breakfast.

Lunch and dinner are a variety of all sorts of food to cater for all tastes. Deserts are also a variety and very, very nice!

Part of being all-inclusive also means that you can have an assortment of drinks from the bar and access to snacks three times a day which includes ice cream pots, which are especially popular with the children.

While staying for seven nights there was not one point that we were hungry or disappointed with the food on offer.

The facilities.

Image may contain: poolThere is a large swimming pool for everyone and a paddling pool for babies. The pool is always kept clean and there are a large number of sun loungers and parasols available on a first come first serve basis. On the roof, there is an over 18's rooftop terrace, which has four large jacuzzis and a bar. This is perfect for those holidaying without children as it is much quieter and very relaxing. There is also a small playground for children to play in too.

The entertainment.

Then there are late evening acts such as tribute artists and circus skills performers if you have the energy to stay up that late!

The entertainment team are so good with the children, I really cannot compliment them enough. We were really impressed with the entertainment on offer.

The staff.

Things to bear in mind

- Being located near the bottom of a small hill means that due to the pavement being very uneven, pushchairs and wheelchairs may need to go on the road to get to the hotel, although only for a few seconds.
- The excellent food is only labelled with a picture of an animal, so you do not always know exactly what you are eating. For example, there could be a dish with a pig label which means it is pork. However you are not to know what flavour sauce is used, and other ingredients being used or any other details, so better labelling would be an improvement.
- The room is basic but for the money being paid, you can not expect anything more (in my opinion).

In conclusion

This is a great hotel to stay at whether you are a couple or a family, there is something for everyone. It is a four-star service at one-star prices!

Important - I have not received any payment, gift or any other incentive to write this review. I have done so as I was very impressed with the holiday and I wanted to share my experience.
